We ask that you attend an Orientation class that is held on the second Sunday of
each month. Please refer to the EEGC online calendar for any last minute updates
- Events Calendar
Orientation runs from 1:00pm until 3:00pm and is conducted in the training room
at EEGC. Any of the RSO's working on Sunday will be happy to direct you to
orientation class. If you need directions to EEGC, please let me know or check
the map on our website.
During orientation class we process applications, review details of the work bond,
review club rules and safety procedures and finish with a walking tour of the
facilities and answer any questions you may have.
During inclement weather, please bring an umbrella or rain coat.
Annual dues are $60 with a work bond deposit of $140 yearly. EEGC's fiscal year
runs from June 1st until May 31st. Dues are prorated beginning in June and
decreasing by $5.00 per month until the following April.
Ex - Joining in January would be: Dues - $25.00 + Workbond - $140.00 + NRA (if
The club requires NRA membership. If you are already a member, please bring
your NRA card and we can note membership number and expiration date on
your application. If you are not an NRA member, you can join at orientation class
for as little as $10.00 per year.
Work bond is a surety, whereby the club asks you to offer a deposit which can be
worked off over the course of the year by performing service to the club. This can
entail maintenance and work parties, or working as a Range Safety Officer on
our public range. By performing 35 hours of service per year, you can repay your
work bond and the money you paid simply rolls over as a surety for the next year.
If you perform 50 hours of service or more to the club, your time not only pays
your work bond, but also pays your dues for the next year.
You are not required to provide your assistance to the club, and many members simply choose to pay $200 annually as they cannot offer sufficient time to the club. The option is yours.Feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to welcoming you to Emerald Empire Gun Club!
